The “K computer” which became the top of the world in the TOP500 list in June 2011 and November 2011 was completed in the end of June 2012 and has started public utilization from the end of September 2012. The outcomes of the “K computer” have come out such as winners of the Gordon Bell Prize in 2011 and 2012 who were pilot groups of it. In this article we report the overview, the way to completion, current status, operation, organizations for public utilization, computational resource allotment, applications of projects, the basis of selection, results of applications, support programs, access-points for industrial use, and available software of the “K computer”.
