Applications of Ampholytic Surface Active Agents as Dyeing Assistants and Antistatic Agents

Abstract

Ampholytic surface active agents were investigated as dyeing assistants and antistatic agents in dyeing bath.
Five carboxy-betaines, two sulfobetaines, sulfoether betaine, anionic surface active agents and nonionic surface active agents were used in the dyeing bath of acid dyes or dye chromium complex with nylon piece.
Alkylamine carboxy-betaines showed excellent antistatic effect.
