In recent years, knowledge-based work has increased, and knowledge workers do not necessarily commute to traditional offices. Alternatively, they can work from home. On the other hand, they face work-related problems and social isolation. Coworking spaces are expected to solve these problems because they provide a place for sharing and collaborating among users.
Reflecting these trends, research on community and knowledge sharing in coworking spaces has made significant progress. Despite the contributions of prior studies, some issues remain. One of which is the absence of research using large data sets, which is necessary for accurate and representative results, and to comprehensively understand community and knowledge-sharing processes. In order to address them, this paper presents an exploratory study on coworking space user behavior in China and develops a scale for measuring it.
