Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of on-campus seminars using e-portfolios in OSCE, case reviews, and report writing on the self-evaluation of Clinical Reasoning (CR) and associated factors from quantitative and qualitative aspects. Pre-and post-comparisons were made using the SA-CROT for 37 students, and daily notes were analyzed by text mining. The results showed a significant difference (p<0.001) and a large effect size (r>0.5) in the SA-CROT total score and all factors after the training compared to before the training. The text mining depicted the experience of practical evaluation and the process of organizing and verbalizing case information, suggesting that the e-portfolio provides an opportunity for reflection, and the on-campus seminar contributes to the learning of CR.
