Abstract
IN THE PRESENT PAPER, WE DISCUSS THE MEASURE OF THE POINT PAIRS WHOSE DISTANCE ARE LESS THAN A DISTANCE R AT ALL FLOOR POINTS IN A BUILDING. BY DIFFERENTIATING THIS MEASURE WITH RESPECT TO R, WE GET THE FUNCTION F(R) WHICH IS CALLED BY DISTANCE DISTRIBUTION. USING THIS DISTANCE DISTRIBUTION WE MAKE A COMPARISON BETWEEN LOW AND HIGH BUILDINGS WITH RESPECT TO TRAVEL DISTANCE UNDER THE CONDITION THAT THE TOTAL FLOOR AREA OF A BUILDING IS CONSTANT.
