Abstract
It gets important to reflect "the context of the community" on the town planning. Discussed in the following paper is reconstruction process in Morigu, Nishinomiya, a post-earthquake land readjustment project area damaged by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, supposing that the context of the community consists of four factors: the organizations, environmental issues, problems and the future, and information network systems of the community. And also analyzed that from the pre-earthquake to the present, as a consultant of the project. To conclude, I assert that the analysis of the context of the community is one of the effective methods of the town planning.
