Abstract
The aim of the paper is to clarify a distribution and characteristics of apartments in Osaka urban area. Firstly we surveyed all apartments in the belt area in Osaka city, and secondly we characterized the relation between form of apartments and factors about location in 6 area of differ block pattern in the belt area. The analysis revealed that in the area with wide building sites and wide streets apartments reduce the scale of building, and in the area with small building sites and narrow streets there are a lots of smaller apartments with front space.
