Abstract
The purpose of this study is to classify the shops according to functions to make shopping street continue, and to clarify the characteristics of development and shopkeepers by these types at Nagahama City. The results are as follows. 1. The following continuous development of those types exist. Firstly the type to make shopping street activate, secondly the type to connect with next increase of shops, and thirdly the type to keep increase of shops develop. 2. These types to connect with next increase of shops and to keep increase of shops have various characteristics to be different from those of general shopkeepers.
