Abstract
Para-transit system is a public transportation that has dual mode characteristics of mass transit and private transit. There are several forms in operating para-transit system in the world. In this paper we consider Dolmus system in Kayseri,Turkey, which is one of the para-transit system.. We examine unique characteristics of the Dolmus compared with the other transportation systems in Kayseri city. We also carry out an investigation and analyze the system in order to clarify passengers preferences in between Dolmus and city buses,purposes and attributes of passengers taking Dolmus by using discrete choice model.
