Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the characteristics of Osaka as an international tourist city through the analysis of the package tour plans to Japan from Taiwan and South Korea. For Japanese, Osaka is not so popular city as Kyoto or Kobe as a place for urban tourism in Kansai district. In contrast with that case, Osaka has the second largest share in the total numbers of foreign visitors to Japan, next to Tokyo. Three patterns of the tours are abstracted from 12 routes of package plan which contains Osaka as a place to visit, and comparison of the tours between Taiwan and South Korea are made, and the difference of the position of USJ in their package plans are referred.
