Abstract
This thesis aims to clarify the formation of the discourse on fishery port established by academic discourse before the Act of fishery port through the historical materials analysis. Results are as follows. 1. The fishery port was defined as port for fishery use in a broad sense, as port with the highest capacity of fishery production in the narrow sence. 2. The location of fishery port had to be close to fishery ground, have specific natural conditions and means of transportation between there and the many consumers' area. 3. The fishery port needed specific faculties, which had to connect with each other and have specific form. 4. The academic discourse formulated the spatial system of fishery industry by connecting smoothly from the fishery ground to many consumers'area with such as fishery port.
