Abstract
The Ville Nouvelle of the old capital of Fez, which was originally designed to assure Western life style, has been converted to modern Moroccan city based on the traditional Moroccan life style today. Especially Mosque is the most important facility to assure Moroccan people's religious life as Muslim. Through the field survey about the 5 Mosques built after the independence, I made it clear that; 1. Mosques are evolved into urban complexes of the religious and commerce, and, 2. Mosques without courtyard are opened to outside space to adjust the brocks of the Baroque city. The city image of the Ville Nouvelle brought out with this survey is a mixed culture city of French and Moroccan culture.
