Abstract
The spatial correlation function is effective for the urban analysis, and a lot of analyses using real data have been made. On the other hand, Aoki proposed the stochastic urban model to analyze the stability of urban dynamics. In this paper, we show that the form of the spatial correlation function can be deduced theoretically from the stochastic urban model using the mean field theory that is a technique of statistical physics. The obtained formula is the approximation of spatial correlation function between sites that sufficiently separated. As a result, the parameter of the stochastic urban model, which is introduced theoretically, can be estimated, then, it is meant to become that model itself can verify.
