Abstract
KAMAGAKI is a retaining wall using KAMADOGU which is the old ceramic industry tool. This study tries to elucidate KAMAGAKI's history and present situation by filed and literature survey in SETO city. It becomes clear that KANAGAKI is a similar characteristic with a stone wall method of construction, and the materials of KANAGAKI have scarcity value as the traditional and local ceramic industry tool. The background and principles of city's project with KAMAGAKI is discussed.
