Abstract
This study focused on landscape standards of municipalities based on Landscape Law in Kanagawa prefecture. Many municipalities started operating this law after 2004. One of the main systems of this law is landscape standard of landscape plan, so this study deals with the landscape standards, and grasps contents of these standards, role-sharing between principles and standard, relations with relevant standards by other regulation. The contents of the landscape standards are different from each municipality, very limited type, and wide variety type. The municipalities have other related regulation, but usually they do not incorporate these regulations in the landscape standards. This study proposes the establishment of utilization of common sense when inspecting buildings by using landscape standards.
