Abstract
This paper analyzes the effect of lawn tramway track which was built in Kagoshima-City as the first longl-distance lawn tramway track in Japan extending for 2.8 kilometers. A result the temperature measurement of the surface of tramway track has shown the easing of heat island. And a result the sound-level measurement has shown the great reduction of the noise along the route. Moreover, a result of questionnaire survey to tram passengers and inhabitants along the route has shown a contribution to improvement of an attraction of the town. This paper shows that building the lawn tramway track is very good for using the tram effectively.
