Abstract
This study clarifies the relation between urbanized processes at high economic growth period and the first designation by area division system in cities not applied Post-War Reconstruction Project (PWRP) from comparative analysis for 12 local cities. Consequently, the followings are concluded mainly: 1) There are various approaches of enforcing land use zones and land readjustment among 12 cities but generally its extent was less than cities with PWRP. 2) Urbanized processes from high economic growth period into the first designation of area division are divided into six types. 3) After the first designation of area division, in cities without PWRP land readjustment project came to be enforced substantially but that stock was inferior to cities with PWRP.
