Abstract
This study aims to analyze the techniques of the regulation of land-use of a city where Area Divided City Planning Area and Non-Area Divided City Planning Area are concomitant, and to propose the directionality of a preferable city of the future. The trend of the concomitant city is classified into the following three; 1) uniting by Area Division, 2) keeping the concomitance, 3) uniting by Non-Area Division. For detail study, we select and analyze Tsuruoka City and Matsusaka City as type 1, Maebashi City and Shimonoseki City as type 2. For designating Urban Promotion Area, Tsuruoka City uses Article 7 clause 2 of the law and Matsusaka City uses Article 8 paragraph 2 of the enforcement rule. Maebashi City and Shimonoseki City have strengthened the restriction by designating the specific usage limitation area.
