Abstract
This paper presents the roles of the State for the application of landscape planning by the 7Urbani' Code of 2004-2008, and the landscape authorization. The characters of Italian landscape policy is declared as a significant methodology for the integration of natural, historic, and contemporary landscape under the collaboration between the State and Regions. This paper concludes the readership and the effect of the national activities for the landscape protection; collaboration of landscape planning by the 'Urbani' Code, landscape authorization of the 'Soprintendenza', environmental impact assessment, strategic environmental assessment, SITAP and integrated information system of 'Vincoli in rete', national observatory for landscape quality and Italian landscape charter (2018).
