Abstract
This study estimates car parking choice model in tourist destinations, and also estimates value of time savings, reservation and ancillary services using the model. Mt. Takao area is selected as the survey site because the authors have endeavored to implement area parking management system associated with destination management scheme in the site. The questionnaire survey whose objective is to know values of access time saving, waiting time saving, introductions of reservation and ancillary services was conducted in November 2017. The values of access time and waiting time are estimated as 28.8 JPY/min. and 9.28 JPY/min., respectively. As well, the values of reservation, waiting-less service for cable car at the mountain, gift service for hot spring at the mountain are estimated as 376JPY, 381JPY and 169JPY respectively. Those results suggest that revenue for destination management scheme can be secured by the implementation of both reservation service and some of ancillary services.
