Abstract
In travel behavior analysis, socioeconomic attributes have been conventionally used to express the heterogeneity among individuals. In this study, we quantify behavioral patterns by using GPS data and make a tour-based travel pattern data. Then, we show that the travel pattern data is more useful to express the heterogeneity than socioeconomic attributes. In addition, we estimate the holiday-shopping destination model and analyze the travel behavior pattern for visiting the city center.
