Abstract
In Japan, we have been facing the serious problem concerning vacant house under the situation of declining population. Existence value of historical Japanese-style house is high because users who love or stay these houses find satisfaction from spending time in the environment around the historical Japanese landscape. On the other hand, utilization of vacant house in suburban towns and cities is difficult. In these situations, the issue concerning vacant house should be resolved. We clarify the actual state of vacant house in local region and the relationship between regional socio-economic condition and vacant house, quantitatively in local city. We construct the factor analysis model of vacant house in order to solve the problem.
