Abstract
In this study, we chose nurseries without playgrounds as our object and grasped their aims of outdoor activities by collecting their narratives. We also showed the spatial extent of outdoor activities by analyzing how the nurseries utilize regional resources and their walking courses and made sure of correlation between their aims and spatial extant of outdoor activities. As a result, it was revealed that nurseries with more opportunities of outdoor activities devotedly go to not only parks, but to various regional resources. We also found out that the nurseries design routes that ensure safety and enhancement of appropriate learning for each child. In the future, regions that provide spaces to nurseries through understanding their intentions and introduce how to utilize regional resources for outdoor activities will increase the value of the city as a place for childcare.
