Abstract
Walkable and movable city centre is desired by removal of snow in the snowy cities. Tackling this issue, these local governments have promoted to clear the snow and build snow melting facilities. Because the cost of snow removal is rising, economically effective way of removal should be considered. The purpose of this study is to clarify the measures of snow removal, using melting facilities under the cost efficiency. In this paper, we firstly clarified the actual situation and current measures of snow removal, followed by the analysis of effective snow removal and melting facilities under the cost efficiency during winter. As a result, we found out the importance of reduction of transportation cost also construction of snow melting facility with hot water from district energy systems.
