Abstract
Recently, regional sports commissions have been established nationwide as one of the new developments in the local government's sports policies. The Regional Sports Commission is an organization that is active for the purpose of regional revitalization. Local governments, companies, and sports organizations, etc. are working together. The significance of the establishment of the Regional Sports Commission is to build a platform in which a variety of subjects can share the purpose of revitalizing the region by sport. In this paper, we will clarify how the Regional Sports Commission, which has been established in Japan, has been promoting activities, working to revitalize the region, and being effective.
