Characteristic of the Promotion Plans for Utilizing Vacant Land under the Land Readjustment Project in the Reconstruction City Area after the Great East Japan Earthquake

Abstract

This study systematizes the promotion plans for utilizing vacant land of private properties under the land readjustment project in the reconstruction city area after the Great East Japan Earthquake and clarifies difference with the other promotion plans in Japan. Major findings are as follows: 1) The promotion plans are arranged in seven procedures and have the differences in the method to release the land information and to cooperate the real-estate agencies. 2) The promotion plans at the stricken area is the effective method because providing intensively organized land information. 3) Administration by the NPO and the support to immigrants are not carried out at the reconstruction city area.
