Abstract

Electric vehicles (EVs) have been encouraged in the world to realize a carbon-neutral society. However, since Japan relies on thermal power generation, only encouraging EVs cannot reduce environmental loads. This research presupposes that EVs are widespread completely, and aims at quantitatively evaluating environmental loads in the traffic environment, encouraging sharing services, and reviewing the power supply composition ratio which deals with EV problems while considering the entire life cycle. Specifically, this research runs traffic simulation while changing the percentage of ride-sharing users, and calculates the environmental loads while changing the power supply composition ratio percentage. Consequently, the traffic environment combining EVs and ride-sharing is the most suitable to achieve the target for reducing CO2 emissions by 2030 in Japan.
