Abstract

"Specific Residential Area" set outside of Residence-Guided Zone in Location Normalization Plan is possible to clarify land use policies according to district characteristics and form well balanced cities. This study focuses on six cities that have Specific Residential Areas. Specific Residential Areas realize meticulous zoning and have a purpose of smooth consensus building. It has also been relevant to the establishment of limited Residence-Guided Zone and the implementation of Induction policies. As a result, this study suggests that it may have contributed to the maintenance and concentration of the population in the Residence-Guided Zone and promoting an ideal land use in Specific Residential Area.
