Abstract
It is very important to translate the literature in study of history of civil engineering in Japan. Because in Japan we introduce and study western and eastern engineering technique for a longn time, and because Japanese technique is affected not only by European technique but also by Asian one. We should read foreign literatures in order to know our culture and ourself in study of history of technology.
In this study we would like to propose a method to translate by using personal computer file. In this method we can accomplish the translation thoroughly and perfectly, for example concentration of technical terms, or making of index.
Our translated datafile is a kind of literature by computer technique (electronic publishing)
Our paper may appear to be valuable as a pioneer in study of history of civil engineering by using computer.
