Abstract
Problems of rat-runners that invade neighborhood streets may be more serious when most vehicles equipped Car Navigation Systems, because drivers on such vehicles can easily get into the neighborhood without any concern to be lost. This paper dealt with the mechanism of car drivers way finding and the influence of information on it. To study this subject, an experiment was conducted in which drivers who have various level of information including maps and Car Navigation System were asked to drive in the unknown area several times to investigate the mechanism of route choice and route learning.
