Abstract

This paper aimed to study, based on inhabitants' preferance, the new transportation systems between the Newtown (Gosyono-Newtown) and the nearest JR station (Yotugoya Station) in order to improve the living environment in the newtown.
In this research, actual conditions of JR station utilized by visitors and their problems, our proposed transportation systems to the JR station were analyzed by Quantification Theory II and the Disaggregated Behavioral Model.
According to this research, it has been clarified that it is very important to improve the lightening equipment arround sidewalk and to shorten necessary time to the JR station. In addition, it has been understood that when planning the new transportation systems, bus-system and P&R system have to be first considered.
