Evaluation of Traffic Simulation and Social Experiment for TDM

Park & Bus Ride and Bus-Lane Transportation Demo-Project in SIEZUOKA City

Abstract

The propose of this paper is to consider effectiveness of new transportation process such as traffic simulation analysis and social experiment for TDM (transportation Demand Management). In 2002 the “Park & Bus Ride” and “Bus-Lane” transportation demo-project was conducted by Shizuoka City and authors conducted the panel questionnaire survey at citizen. The results of the panel survey were that making idea for efficient operation of social experiment, increasing citizen understands of TDM plan, and making change of citizen's sense and transportation behavior.
