The authors turned their attention to the changes of inner responses (drive burden) of the driver when the external burden of follow-up driving was given to him.The authors conducted anexperiment on five male and female drivers to simultaneously measure their psychological and physiological responses such as the distance from the car ahead, eye and head movement, and subjective fatigue anddeveloped a model expression for quantifying drive fatigue synthetically. It was elucidated by the analysis performed by using the model expression that drive fatigue differed between aged drivers and non-agedones, and between male drivers and female ones.
