Abstract
In this Paper, the cognition of level of service of public transport is analyzed using Kofu Person Trip Survey, in which there are questions about the cognitive distance of access to the nearest station and bus stop. The statistical analysis showed existence of systematic biases between actual distance and cognitive distance. In the attached survey in Kofu Person Trip Survey, the anticipated fare of train or bus was also asked to the respondents. There is no systematic bias in the anticipated fare, however, the errors of anticipated bus fare were larger than that of train fare.
