Abstract
The purpose of the present study is both to develop
multi-intergenerational programs using water exercise
(WE) and to verify its benefits. First, we conducted an
attitude survey for WE and intergeneration. And then,
based on these results, we developed
multi-intergenerational programs using WE. Second,
we examined the benefits of the program at an
extension class. As a result, the subjects who showed a
high interest in intergeneration expressed the same
tendency at intergenerational programs using WE
(51.1%). However, some subjects showed negative and
unpleasant attitudes toward WE (30.1%) in spite of
having positive attitude towards intergeneration.
Therefore, subjects showed high satisfaction with
the WE program and intergeneration by participating
in intergenerational programs using WE. It was
suggested that the WE program was useful and
effective as one of the intergenerational programs.
In the future, elimination of the negative attitude
toward WE is the key to spread the program.
