Abstract
This paper shows the geologic prediction ahead of tunnel face under TBM tunnel construction. The prediction survey system is the non-core drilling survey system by using a rock drill on TBM. The appliedtunnel is Suzuka tunnel for new expressway constructed between Mie Pref. and Shiga Pref. in central Japan. Its geology consists of granite and sedimentary rocks.
Based on the survey results, we forecasted the tunnel supports ahead of the tunnel faces underconstruction. Its total adaptation ratio is 72%. In addition, we searched the geology in detail before the serious geologic weak zones appearance to consider the effective measures.
