Abstract
This work is to construct one of Maglev test line tunnels, Hatsukari tunnel, which is under construction in Yamanashi prefecture.
The special points to mention on the work is the control of the blasting vibration which affects the old quarring site called “OOKUZURE” located at the middle of the tunnel, the precision machine factory and the housing development near the tunnel exit.
This report is the outline of the SD (slot drilling) method with blasting and the effect of the method on a reduction of vibration.
