Abstract
At present, subway construction work is going on for about 3.9 km on the JR Senseki Line. This open-cut tunnel section in the subway construction work of the Senseki Line will cross right above the existing NTT Telephone-line Shield tunnel with an overburden of 2.0 m. For this purpose, we have already executed an estimate of the influence of excavating this new tunnel on the existing shield tunnel, and confirmed that there would be no trouble. Further, in actual construction, we are supervising the construction work, while measuring the behaviors of the existing shield tunnel.
