Abstract
The inclusion complex of chlorimuron-ethyl with β-cyclodextrin was prepared by the saturated aqueous method. The inclusion complex formed was characterized by 1H NMR, X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), and thermogravimetric analysis (TG). The results showed that there was clathration of chlorimuron-ethyl by β-cyclodextrin, and thus a new inclusion complex was formed. The solubility of the inclusion complex in water was enhanced 1.85-fold as compared with that of chlorimuron-ethyl (pH 7, 20°C).
