This paper introduces LeapSpace, a research-grade AI workspace officially launched by Elsevier in January 2026. Building on insights gained through the development of Scopus AI, LeapSpace integrates high-quality peer-reviewed content with AI to support researchers seamlessly across the entire research lifecycle within a single environment. LeapSpace directly addresses the growing concern that AI may undermine researchers' critical thinking. Through features such as Trust Cards and Claim Radar, it is designed to empower researchers to actively evaluate and judge information for themselves rather than passively accepting AI outputs. This paper outlines the design philosophy and key features of LeapSpace, and highlights its potential for researchers.
