This paper reported the contents of health counseling provided to students of a public high school. Among 10, 303 students who entered the school between 1997 and 2006, 380 cases of health counseling by the yogo teacher were diagnosed as the criteria of ICD－10.
The results and analysis were as follows:
1) The number of counseling increased significantly with school grade. The number of counseling from female is about twice as those from male.
2) As for main complaints of health counseling, physical problems accounted for 59.7%, while mental problems accounted for 23.4%.
3) As for the frequency of ICD－10 classified cases, mental and behavioural disorders accounted for 76.8%, while physical disorders accounted for 23.4%.
4) On the cases of health counseling, the lower counseling frequency group (less than 4 times) accounted for 71.6%, while the higher group (more than 9 times) accounted for 9.5%. F4 code (neurotic, stressrelated and somatoform disorders) cases belonged to the lower group, while all schizophrenia and manic episode cases belonged to the higher group.
