Purpose: For an effective school health management it is necessary to examine the actual phenomenon of school health practice with relevance to the school management. A principal is requested leadership in school health practice under the present school management reforms. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to qualitatively clarify school management's perceptions of those strategies attaching great importance to school health practice.
Method: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 14public senior high school principals and analyzed using qualitative methods.
Result: Four elements and three visions were found. Four elements were: (1) The management for the effective use of the Yogo teacher, (2) The development of the teachers groups in the process of their mutual activated communications, (3) The creation of partnership organization in the guidance and support systems for the students in school, (4) The evaluated school health practice as component of school management. Three visions were: (1) Students will become empowered with confidence and self-assurance so they can achieve a strong sense of self and self-realization. (2) Family and the community are provided with a feeling of satisfaction seeing the healthy growth and development of the students. (3) The school organization opened in both the inside and outside is created.
