Abstract
Experiments were conducted to elucidate effect of spraying of a formalin on reduction of bacteria contaminating on the chicken houses.
1) When 30ml of formalin per m3 was sprayed to a windowless house from outside by mechanical power, a number of bacteria detected from the house were less than 10/cm2. High degree of disinfection was obtained as well as disinfection by fumigation with 40ml/m3 of formalin.
2) A volume of 40ml per m3 of formalin were sprayed to an open type laying cage house. A number of bacteria were reduced also less than 10/cm2. Degree of disinfection of the open type laying cage house was a little lower than that of the windowless house.
