Abstract
Serologic tests were performed to detect the antibodies against pathogens from conventional and SPF chicken sera with the antigens produced in China and Japan. The conventional chickens were kept in the large scale chicken farms in Shandong Province, China.
The results of the tests indicate that the antigens produced in China were of equally high quality as the ones produced in Japan. Antibodies against many pathogens were detected from the conventional chicken sera. It is suggested that the countermeasures for disease prevention are required on the large scale chicken farms in China.
