Electronic Structure of CeB₆ Studied by 3d XPS and High-Resolution 4d-4f Resonant Photoemission

Ce 3d XPS and 4d-4f resonant photoemission spectra were measured and adopted to study the electronic structure of CeB₆. Observed spectra were analyzed in terms of the single impurity Anderson model, which manifests the dense Kondo behavior of the electronic structure of CeB₆.The low energy excitations which appear in photoemission spectra were discussed based on the 4d-4f resonant photoemission spectra measured with an energy resolution of 78 meV.
