The Attenuation of the Unbound 1k_15/2 and 1l_19/2 Neutron Orbitals of ^209{Pb}

Abstract

The neutron strength distributions of the two high-spin 1k_15/2 and 1l_19/2 unbound states of ²⁰⁹Pb have been viewed in detail within the formalism of the Core-Polarisation effect where the effect of interaction of the neutron shell-model states of ²⁰⁹Pb with the collective vibrational states from the giant resonances has been taken into consideration. The theoretical results have been discussed in the light of our previous works on 1j_13/2, 2h_11/2 and 1k_17/2 neutron orbitals of ²⁰⁹Pb. Side by side available theoretical work on the continuum shell-model states has been compared with the present theoretical calculations.
