Abstract

Weakly nonlinear waves in a ferromagnet with dissipation are investigated. By means of reductive perturbation method, the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a dissipation term is derived and the possibility of propagation of shock waves similar to the limit shock waves in magnetohydrodynamics is shown.
