We study the steady-state behavior of the trimolecular reaction A+2X⇔ 3X on a 2-d square lattice. By viewing the systemas a kind of a percolation problem and finding a rigorous value for thepercolation threshold, we show that a single asymptotic state isrecovered starting from any non-zero concentration of X-particles, unlike on a number of lattices with lower dimensionality and/orcoordination number.
