A mixture of layered compounds WS₂ and MoS₂ was found to show magnetic and electrical anomalies at low temperature. The susceptibilities showed diamagnetic properties below 9.0 K together with hysteresis upon zero-field cooling and field cooling, which suggested the existence of superconductivity in this mixture. The resistivity decreased below 9.0 K. Zero resistance was not obtained for reasons discussed.
