Using circular cylindrical samples, we have shown in previous reports, that the minimum of current I0 required for the appearance of the paramagnetic effect is composed of two terms Ig and γdH0 and that Ig is independent of the sample size. In this paper, using the several kinds of non-circular cylindrical samples (rectangular, semi-circular, triangular, hollow circular, and three other forms which may show no paramagnetic effect), we have studied the same effect.
In the former four samples, the value of Ig has proved to be the same as in the case of circular cylinders. In the latter three samples (sandwich-type, cylinder and hollow cylinder with a longitudinal wedge-shaped slot) no paramagnetic effect has been found.
